3.the puppet masters of Karagöz plays are called hayalî, meaning both ‘imaginary’ and ‘image creator’. (They are also known as Karagözcu or hayalbaz.)
Concept:
The concept is based conflict between dream, imagination, and reality as source of one person’s personality symbolizing three different characteristics in three people in one person. The journey of how does these different characteristics can live in one person’s reality. What is real? What is the border between dream and reality. What is the motivation to move, react and harmonize.We have four different fantasy characters to get inspiration :“Peter Pan” from literature, “Pan” from mythology, Jitterburg Parfume of Tom Robins and“Karagoz and Hacivat” from traditional Turkish shadow game. The Project is aiming to create a new sense of modern fairy tale and fairy tale characters… Hoping the characters can live safely in humanities harts.This project is an experiment of video art, shadows, silhouettes, and light in relation to movement and characters. The elements of illusion are used to create the perceptual illusions. Costume lights, ad Video is crucial to contribute in the creative process. The work demands technical strength movement quality within a framed structure as well as smoothness of shifting beyond that frame through performance. The project has live art characteristics together with video art integration. Music, stage design, and costume design will have inevitable creative contribution to the work.

… bir gölge oyunu
Bir gölge oyunu projesi olan bu çalışma hayali imgelerle gerçeklik arasında kalmış bir çocuğun hikayesi. Rüya, hayal gücü ve gerçeklik arasinda gidip gelen karakterimiz, bunların arasındaki ilişkinin sınırlarını sorgular. Gerçek olan hangisidir? Hayal olan hangisi? Kimdir güçlü olan , gördüğün mü yoksa onun gölgesi mi? Yakalamaya çalıştığı gölge onun Hayali mi, yoksa yansimasi Sureti mi?
Keçi ayaklı yarı tanrı Pan’ın Tom Robbins yorumundan, büyümek istemeyen çocuk Peter Pan’a, çizgiroman karakterlerinden, Geleneksel Türk gölge oyunumuz Karagöz ve Hacivat’a kadar pek çok imgeden esinlenen “Hayâlî ve Sureti”; video, gölge ve fiziksel beden arasındaki ilişki üzerine, oyuncu ve izleyici arasındaki duvarları geçirgen yapan bir oyun. Modern bir peri masalı ve yeni masal karakterleri yaratmayı amaçlayan bu proe içindeki çocuğu yitirmeyenlere sesleniyor.

The play is created by the Performance Planet as a result of their improvisations and interdisciplinary activities. In the play each of the performers tell the same tale but with different stories. The tale is simply the search of a person for his/her partner and the thing that makes us to live is the will of love and creating something. What do the shadows tell us when they change their forms every time when they are touched or intervened or put in a sequence? Shadow and illusion in the performance make the main point of communication with the spectators. The play is designed for the old Fountain of Bereketzade in Galata.
There will be open part for everyone after the performance . So Bring your childhood with you:))

Oyun içinde her birey farklı hikayelerle aynı masalı anlatırlar; diğer GÖLGEMİZİ tekimizi bulma arzusudur bizi aratan, sevme ve üretme ihtiyacıdır bizi yaşatan. Dokunduğumuzda kaybolan ama orada olan, kavuşma isteğidir her an… Dokununca, içine girince, Büyüyüp küçülünce , arka arkaya gelince değişen GÖLGELER ne der bize her an? Gölge oyunu ve ilüzyonlar, seyirci etkileşimi oyunun temel çekiciliğini oluşturur.
